US imposes new sanctions on Hezbollah and Iran-backed proxy networks

The United States Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions targeting individuals and entities linked to Hezbollah in Lebanon and Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq. These measures, which also encompass companies in Turkey, are part of a broader Washington strategy to disrupt the financial networks supporting Tehran's regional proxies. The US government stated that these entities have been instrumental in providing logistical and financial backing to these groups. Meanwhile, regional tensions remain high as the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that two ships were struck by projectiles off the coast of Oman. Additionally, CNN reported that the US has deployed over 100 military personnel to Saudi Arabia to provide intelligence and targeting assistance regarding the Houthis. In Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the elimination of Muhammad Yazouri, a commander within Hamas’ Khan Younis Brigade, during a targeted airstrike.
