Ally Sentnor scores in the 85th minute as Angel City draws 1-1 with the Spirit

In the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Angel City FC secured a 1-1 draw against the visiting Washington Spirit. Trinity Rodman opened the scoring for the Spirit in the 65th minute, marking her 10th goal of the season, after receiving a pass from Tara Rudd. Angel City equalized in the 85th minute through a long-range strike by Ally Sentnor, her first goal for the club. An earlier goal by Angel City in the 37th minute was overturned following a VAR review for a handball by Prisca Chilufya.

In the day’s other match, the Houston Dash defeated the North Carolina Courage 3-2. Clarissa Larisey scored the winner in the 93rd minute, marking Houston’s fifth stoppage-time goal of the season. Larisey had also equalized for the Dash in the 80th minute. For the Courage, Ally Schlegel and Evelyn Ijeh provided the goals. With her 10th goal of the season, Ijeh joined teammate Ashley Sanchez, who has 11, as the first pair of teammates in NWSL history to each score at least 10 goals in a single season.
