Ra’am Rallies Negev Voters: ‘More Votes, More Influence’

The United Arab List (Ra'am), led by MK Mansour Abbas, held an election rally this week in the village of Bir Hadaj in the Negev under the slogan, 'Bir Hadaj – Towards Greater Influence.' The event focused on increasing the political power of Arab society by encouraging higher voter turnout in the upcoming Knesset elections. As part of its campaign, Ra'am is positioning issues concerning Negev Bedouin at the center of its platform. At the rally, the party addressed the recognition of unrecognized villages, the halting of home demolitions, and the prevention of resident evictions. Furthermore, the party highlighted the necessity for infrastructure development and improvements in education, employment, and basic services. Speakers argued that the next stage of political engagement requires strengthening the influence of Arab society in decision-making processes. They asserted that the Negev should not be treated as a peripheral area and that its residents require representation commensurate with the challenges they face.
