Givati Brigade soldiers disciplined for expressing views on APC controversy

Four soldiers from the Rotem Battalion of the Givati Brigade have been subjected to disciplinary action after a meeting with their battalion commander, according to information obtained by Arutz Sheva. The soldiers, who were not involved in the original incident regarding an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), were asked for their views on the matter. Following their expression of positions that did not align with those of the commander, they were sentenced to confinement to base. This development follows a broader controversy in which 16 soldiers were previously jailed for refusing to board an APC accompanied by a female medic. Sources within the battalion described the disciplinary move as unprecedented, noting that it has deepened the sense of crisis and division between some soldiers and the command structure. One source stated that the soldiers did not participate in the incident, did not violate any orders, and did not refuse a mission, adding that the prevailing sentiment is that they were punished solely for expressing their opinions. The IDF Spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
