Zurich and El Gouna film festivals announce strategic partnership

The Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland and Egypt's El Gouna Film Festival have announced a new strategic partnership. The film follows the life and work of Swiss marine biologist Angela Ziltener, who has spent decades studying dolphins in the Red Sea. Ziltener conducted much of her significant research near the coast where the El Gouna festival is held. Following its Zurich debut, Dolphins: My Encounters will have its Middle East and North Africa premiere at the El Gouna Film Festival, which takes place from 15 to 26 October. The festival venue is located just a few miles from the site where Ziltener began her research. Details of the agreement indicate that the two festivals intend to extend their cooperation beyond film screenings to include broader cinematic programming and joint initiatives.
