Viral clash: Israeli couple’s Dolomites proposal sparks online dispute

An Israeli couple, Maor Tzabari and her partner Tal, became the subject of an online dispute following their marriage proposal in Italy's Dolomites. According to Tzabari, the couple asked a content creator they encountered at the site to take their photograph. Tzabari stated that upon noticing a necklace worn by the man, she initiated a conversation, initially assuming he was Israeli. The man identified himself as Ahmad and stated he was from Palestine. Tzabari reported that the atmosphere shifted following this exchange. Later, the couple discovered that the man had posted a video online portraying them in a negative light and accusing them of mistreatment. In response, Tzabari, who works in social media, posted her own version of events, asserting that the encounter was not hostile. She noted that her Hebrew-language response received support, while the English version attracted significant criticism and antisemitic comments. The incident has since gained viral attention, with Tzabari describing it as part of a broader trend of online hostility.
