Likud: Palestinian Authority wants Netanyahu to lose elections

The Likud party has issued a statement in response to a report by journalist Mohammad Magadli, which alleges that senior Palestinian Authority officials, led by Mahmoud Abbas, are working to prevent Benjamin Netanyahu from forming a government. According to the report, PA officials pressured the Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad parties to unite into a single electoral list. These parties have since formed a joint list, with the United Arab List (Ra'am) remaining the only outlier. Responding to these developments, Likud stated: "In Ramallah, just like in Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, and Turkey, they want Prime Minister Netanyahu to lose the elections." Meanwhile, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir claimed last month that imprisoned Palestinian figure Marwan Barghouti had sent a message to Arab parties through his attorneys, urging them to unite to increase pressure for the restoration of previous incarceration conditions. Ben Gvir cited these efforts as proof of the effectiveness of his policies within the Israel Prison Service.
