Violent clashes erupt in Qusra and Jalud in the West Bank

IDF and Israel Border Police forces were deployed to end violent clashes between a group of Israelis and Palestinians in the Qusra and Jalud area of the West Bank. According to the IDF, the tensions began after a group of Israelis threw stones at Palestinians. During the incident, dozens of rioters barricaded themselves inside a home in Qusra, prompting security forces to intervene to remove them and protect the residents. The homeowner claimed that his family members were attacked and handcuffed by security forces; the IDF has not yet responded to this allegation. The IDF stated that the vehicles used by the Israelis were confiscated and an investigation is underway to identify and arrest those responsible. Reports also indicate that a Palestinian woman was injured and evacuated by the Red Crescent for medical treatment. The Binyamin Regional Council claimed the clashes began after an initial attack with rocks and clubs against a group of Israelis who were touring the area. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the acts as "criminal" and called for decisive action against the lawbreakers. President Isaac Herzog also condemned the event, describing it as a crossing of a red line and a stain on Israel's image.
