FlyDubai passengers recount heroic struggle against terrorist co-pilot

A group of passengers on FlyDubai Flight 1073, which was nosediving toward the Arabian Desert following an attack by the co-pilot, have recounted the harrowing moments of their struggle against the perpetrator. The Boeing 737 Max, carrying Israeli passengers, plummeted 14,000 feet in seconds and was less than 30 seconds from crashing. The co-pilot, from Oman, had stabbed the captain and seized control. Passengers rushed the cockpit, subdued the attacker, and enabled other pilots to regain control of the aircraft. UAE officials have classified the incident as a terrorist act, and reports indicate the attacker had been banned from flying in Oman due to extremist views. Captain Smit Machchhar, who was severely wounded, received emergency treatment from a dentist on board, and the flight landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The passengers described the reception by Saudi authorities and their survival as a miracle that has bonded them like family.
