Manchester City also secured Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for approximately 150.8 million dollars. Tottenham Hotspur signed Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a fee between 120 and 130 million dollars, while Arsenal acquired Bruno Guimaraes for about 97.5 million dollars. Additionally, Matheus Fernandes joined Tottenham from West Ham in a deal worth 110.5 million dollars. The Guardian attributes this inflation to the so-called "Premier League tax," where clubs pay a premium for players who have already proven their ability to adapt to the physical intensity and pace of the English game.
