Seattle Seahawks officially sign CB Terrion Arnold, who faces felony charges

The Seattle Seahawks officially signed cornerback Terrion Arnold on Saturday, despite the 23-year-old facing eight felony charges in Florida. The charges stem from allegations that he orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men in February. Arnold, who was released by the Detroit Lions in June following the charges, denies the allegations. His defense attorney, R. Timothy Jansen, and his agency, EAG Sports Management, maintain there is no credible evidence against him, suggesting the accusations are based on accounts from individuals seeking lighter sentences. As a result of being placed on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list, Arnold is prohibited from playing or practicing with the Seahawks, though he is permitted to attend team meetings and receive pay while the league investigates. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald stated that the team recognizes the seriousness of the legal matter and is respecting the process, leaving the decision regarding his potential return to play to the league.
