Man sentenced to 13.5 years in prison for spying for Iran in record ruling

An Israeli court has sentenced Alexander Granovsky to 13.5 years in prison for spying for the Islamic Republic of Iran. This ruling marks the harshest sentence handed down in Israel for espionage cases linked to Iran to date. According to the Times of Israel, Granovsky was found guilty of setting nine vehicles on fire and conducting surveillance in the neighborhood where former Defense Minister Benny Gantz resides. In a separate development, four young men from East Jerusalem have admitted to their involvement in a different plot against Israel as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
