Channel 4 Cancels ‘Married At First Sight UK’ After Rape Allegations

According to Deadline, Channel 4 has canceled Married at First Sight UK (MAFS UK) following two external reviews into welfare on the show, which was hit by rape allegations earlier this year. Despite one review stating it would be reasonable to continue producing future series, Channel 4 CEO Priya Dogra said MAFS UK has now run its course. Neither the current sixth season, which had been filmed, nor the spin-off Second Marriage at First Sight will air. The previous five seasons will remain absent from Channel 4’s VoD player, although other international versions remain available.
