Atlanta Dream star forward Angel Reese avoided a one-game suspension after the WNBA rescinded her eighth technical foul, which had been assessed during a loss to Portland on Friday. The ruling, issued hours after the game, ensures Reese will be available for the Dream’s upcoming match against Minnesota on Sunday. The technical foul occurred during the fourth quarter when Reese became tangled with Fire player Carla Leite in the paint. Reese had protested the call on the court at the time. Earlier this month, the WNBA similarly rescinded a technical foul against Caitlin Clark, sparing her from an automatic one-game suspension for reaching eight technicals on the season.
