Katzrin community holds memorial for Yehonatan Klimian

Hundreds of residents, family members, friends, and rabbis gathered at the Bnei Akiva Ulpana in Katzrin for a memorial evening honoring Yehonatan Klimian. Klimian, a yeshiva student and Bnei Akiva youth movement counselor, was killed in a rappelling accident at Keshet Cave in northern Israel. His death deeply affected the Katzrin community, where he was an active participant. Vardit Teferberg, principal of the Bnei Akiva Ulpana, noted that the school opened its doors immediately following the tragedy to provide a space for the community to grieve and support one another. The memorial was held at the institution, which has long-standing ties to the Klimian family; his mother serves as the chairwoman of the parents' leadership, and his sisters have been students there. The event was attended by Katzrin Local Council head Yehuda Dua, with several rabbis, including Rabbi Eliyahu Mazuz and Rabbi Chaim Eisen, delivering words of remembrance and Torah lessons.
