Pezeshkian says he met with Khamenei face to face, supreme leader healthy

Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that he held a face-to-face meeting with Ali Khamenei. Dismissing rumors regarding the health of the leader of the regime ruling Iran, Pezeshkian asserted that he is in good health. Pezeshkian stated that while the implementation of policies rests with the administration, consultations and primary directives continue to come from Ali Khamenei. These remarks come as speculation regarding succession and the health status of top leadership in Tehran remains a focus for international observers. The Jerusalem Post reported that Pezeshkian also indicated a willingness to reach a deal prior to the US midterm elections.
