Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby hospitalised following digestive issue

Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby was admitted to a private hospital in the Dokki district of Giza in recent days due to a digestive system complication. She has since undergone a series of medical examinations. The news drew significant attention from her followers, with reports circulating on social media suggesting she might require surgery. However, a source close to the actress denied these claims, stating that Shalaby only underwent necessary tests following the incident. According to these reports, her condition does not require surgical intervention, and she is expected to be discharged once doctors are satisfied with her health. Fans have expressed their well-wishes for her recovery and return to her professional commitments. The health issue comes as Shalaby remains active in several artistic projects. She appeared in the 2026 Ramadan series 'Sahab al-Ard' alongside Eyad Nassar. Shalaby has also recently completed filming for the series 'Anbar al-Mawt', which features actors Ali Qassem, Roshdy El Shamy, and Basma. The series is directed by Karim El Shenawy and overseen by writer Mariam Naoum. The actress is attached to several upcoming projects while she continues her recovery.
