Netflix begins production on Guillaume Canet action sequel Ad Vitam

Netflix has commenced production on a sequel to the French action film Ad Vitam, starring Guillaume Canet. The project, currently under the working title Ad Vitam Eternam—Latin for 'towards eternal life'—was reported by Variety. Guillaume Canet will reprise his role as Franck Lazare, a former operative of the GIGN, the elite tactical unit of the French National Gendarmerie. According to the plot summary, Franck survives an assassination attempt upon his release from prison and subsequently attempts to identify his attackers. To hide, he retreats to the mountains with his family, only to be tracked down by French intelligence. They offer him a deal: he must undertake a secret mission in exchange for the truth he is seeking.
