Analyst Warns Iran Could Unleash ‘Kinetic’ Response as US Tightens Economic Containment

According to Fox News, national security analysts have warned that Iran may launch military strikes against high-value assets as early as this fall to counter intensifying U.S. economic sanctions. Behnam Ben Taleblu, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, stated that Tehran is likely to use kinetic pressure to break out of the economic containment imposed by Washington. These warnings coincide with reports of two vessels being struck in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s pledge to implement unprecedented economic measures against Iran. Meanwhile, tensions persist over control of the Strait of Hormuz and the status of the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement, with the deadline for final negotiations set for August 17.
