Rubio warns more Iranian tankers will be sunk if attacks on US warships continue

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it attacked two US vessels and eight oil tankers in the Gulf in response to what it termed a US attack on five Iranian tankers. The IRGC claimed the vessels were attempting to cross a 'prohibited and unsafe' area of the Strait of Hormuz. In a separate development, reports indicate that Israel has given British representatives at the international Gaza coordination center in Kiryat Gat seven days to leave the country, following the UK's new sanctions on West Bank settlements. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham defended the measures, stating that Britain must stand for its values and that the sanctions target the policies of the Israeli government, not the Israeli people. In Washington, a Western official confirmed that President Donald Trump did not ask Prime Minister Burnham to hold off on announcing the sanctions during their recent phone call.
