PSG granted extra dressing room space after complaint

Paris Saint-Germain have been granted an additional dressing room for their UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa after complaining about the facilities at the Red Bull Arena. According to BBC Sport, French club officials raised their concerns during a pre-match meeting on Monday. Aston Villa are using the main Red Bull Salzburg home dressing room, while PSG were initially assigned the visitors' area. Sources told BBC Sport that PSG considered the space too small and requested a room comparable in size to Villa's. In response, UEFA allocated an additional room, typically reserved for match officials, to PSG to ensure they had sufficient space and parity with their opponents. No match officials were displaced to accommodate the change. PSG, the defending Super Cup champions, won the trophy for the first time last year after a penalty shootout victory against Tottenham. They also successfully defended their Champions League title by defeating Arsenal in May. PSG have travelled to Austria with a 20-man squad, including Liverpool target Bradley Barcola, Vitinha, and left-back Lucas Digne, who joined from Aston Villa on Sunday. Aston Villa are making their first Super Cup appearance since 1982. Unai Emery ended the club's 30-year trophy drought by leading them to victory over Freiburg in the Europa League final in Istanbul.
