Expert tells Jerusalem Post: Iran’s Hormuz trump card is rapidly losing strategic value

An expert told the Jerusalem Post that the Islamic Republic's trump card in the Strait of Hormuz is rapidly losing its strategic value. Before the conflict, between 14 and 15 million barrels of oil passed through the strait daily, but the analyst argued that it is entirely possible to manage the energy market without much of that supply. These remarks come as US President Donald Trump had threatened to attack Iran's energy infrastructure if it did not end its de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz by March 23.
