Professional committee recommends Shin Bet provide Eisenkot with armed security

A professional committee in Israel has recommended that the country's internal security agency, the Shin Bet, provide armed protection for Gadi Eisenkot, a former member of the war cabinet. The final decision on the matter will rest with a ministerial committee headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The panel also discussed a request from Yair Golan, leader of The Democrats party, for state-funded bodyguards, but has not yet reached a decision on a recommendation regarding his case.
