Israeli teens indicted for allegedly working with Iran-linked operative

The Haifa District Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against two teenagers from Kiryat Motzkin, aged 14 and 16, for allegedly carrying out paid missions for an Iran-linked operative. According to Ynet, the two are accused of photographing shopping malls, spraying graffiti, and attempting to recruit others. The police investigation began after one of the defendants was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport. The indictment alleges that the teenagers contacted a man on Telegram who identified himself as "Daniel," and continued their activities even after learning of his connection to Iran. One of the defendants is accused of providing security details, including the number of entrances and exits at malls in Herzliya and Tel Aviv. The pair also allegedly posed as a soldier from the IDF’s Unit 8200 to secure further assignments. The teenagers reportedly received payments in cryptocurrency for their activities. Israeli police stated they would continue to act with determination against attempts by hostile actors to recruit Israeli citizens, particularly minors, for activities that could harm national security.
