Gal Gadot: No specific conversations about returning as Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot told ScreenRant that she has had no specific conversations with DC Studios' new leadership, James Gunn and Peter Safran, regarding a return as Wonder Woman or taking on other roles in the rebooted DC Universe. Gadot noted that the last substantive discussions occurred when the new leadership first arrived and expressed interest in developing a third film, but she has heard nothing since. The actress expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play the iconic character and wished her eventual successor well. Gadot first appeared as Diana Prince in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and subsequently starred in two standalone films and other franchise entries. While speculation persists, DC Studios is currently moving forward with a new Wonder Woman film, with Ana Nogueira writing the screenplay. James Gunn has previously stated that no new actress has been cast for the role.
