Reports of increased IRGC Quds Force weapons smuggling to Lebanon during ceasefire

Israeli defense establishments have identified an increase in attempts to smuggle weapons across the Syrian border into Lebanon. According to a report by Channel 12 News, the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is responsible for financing and managing these operations. The objective is to facilitate the rearmament of Hezbollah during the current ceasefire. A security source stated that Hezbollah is exploiting the ceasefire to strengthen its military capabilities, with estimates suggesting that many shipments are successfully reaching their destination undetected. Despite the seizure of some equipment by Syrian and Lebanese forces, security assessments indicate that a significant volume of weaponry is entering Lebanon. Israel views these activities as a primary justification for maintaining its freedom of action in Syria to intercept and strike such shipments.
