Israeli military raids across West Bank as settlers enter Turmus Ayya during US Ambassador’s visit

Israeli military forces conducted a new wave of raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank on Saturday. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli forces arrested two Palestinians in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin and near the Arab American University. In Tulkarm, two former prisoners, Osama Zaid Awad and Suhaib Abdullah Abu Shaqra, were arrested following raids on their homes in Deir al-Ghusun. Similar operations, involving checkpoints and movement restrictions, were reported in Al-Bireh, Al-Am'ari refugee camp, Kafr Aqab, and Bethlehem.

In a separate incident in the town of Turmus Ayya, two settlers on an all-terrain vehicle entered an area approximately 100 meters from where US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee was visiting. Huckabee, who was meeting with municipal representatives and Palestinian-American residents who have been subjected to settler attacks, described the violence against US citizens as a "form of terrorism." He stated that the citizens have legitimate grievances and emphasized that Israel must ensure the safety and security of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.
