Greece inks record $3.5 billion deal to buy comprehensive missile defense system from Israel

The Greek government has signed a deal worth $3.5 billion to purchase a comprehensive missile defense system from Israel. The project, referred to as the 'Achilles Shield,' involves the construction of a multi-tiered air defense array for Greece. In addition to this, a separate agreement has been reached to provide protection against drones. Reports also indicate that Finland has secretly extended its defense memorandum of understanding with Israel.
