United Airlines to resume Tel Aviv-San Francisco flights in March

United Airlines has announced that it will resume nonstop service between Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport and San Francisco International Airport starting March 30, 2027. The year-round service will operate three times a week. According to the airline, it will offer more business class seats on this route than any other carrier.

The route will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 257 seats. Yael Barzilay, Country Sales Manager for Israel at United Airlines, welcomed the return of the service, describing it as an important connection between two of the world's leading technology hubs. The airline noted that its service to Tel Aviv is always subject to detailed assessments of operational, safety, and security considerations in the region.

In addition to the San Francisco route, United Airlines has outlined plans to resume several other connections to Israel. Flights to Newark/New York are scheduled to resume on September 9, 2026, followed by Chicago on October 26, and Washington Dulles on October 28, 2026. With these additions, United stated it will offer more flights from Tel Aviv than any other US airline.

This resumption is part of what the company describes as the largest international network expansion in its history, which includes launching services to 10 new international cities. All new flights remain subject to government approval and are currently available for booking through the airline's website and mobile application.
