IDF reports killing of Hamas Nukhba commander in Khan Yunis

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that it struck a Nukhba platoon commander within Hamas' military wing in the Khan Yunis area of the southern Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, the commander infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and had been advancing attacks against Israeli troops throughout the ongoing war. The IDF stated that its Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove immediate threats. In a separate operation in the Maghazi area, the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) eliminated Ismail Abu Ful, a commander at a Hamas weapons manufacturing site. The IDF alleged that this facility was established near an aid distribution point operated by an international organization, citing it as an example of Hamas' systematic use of civilian infrastructure to execute attacks. The military stated that it issued advance warnings to the local population and utilized precise munitions to mitigate civilian harm during these strikes.
