Man convicted of spying for Iranian regime sentenced to 4.5 years in prison in Israel

An Israeli court has sentenced Fares Abu al-Hija to four and a half years in prison for conducting espionage activities on behalf of agents linked to the regime ruling Iran. According to the Times of Israel, the individual received approximately $3,600 for the tasks he performed. The court stated that although the defendant suspected his contact was an Iranian agent, he failed to investigate the matter further. The case involved attempts to gather intelligence on sensitive targets, including former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
