Israel reports killing of Hamas weapons production commander in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) announced that Ismail Abu Ful, a commander at a Hamas weapons manufacturing site, was killed during an operation in the Maghazi area of the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, Abu Ful played an active role in the production of explosive devices and anti-tank rockets for the military wing of Hamas. The military stated that the production site was located near an aid distribution point operated by an international organization, citing this as an example of Hamas embedding its operations within civilian infrastructure. Israeli officials noted that advance warnings were issued to the local population prior to the strike, and precise munitions were utilized to mitigate civilian harm. The IDF further alleged that Hamas is systematically violating the ceasefire agreement while attempting to rehabilitate its military capabilities.
