Police arrest 30 in Nazareth following wave of gang-related murders

Israeli police have launched a major operation in Nazareth following a surge of violence that left four people dead within 24 hours. During the two-night operation, police raided several compounds linked to criminal gangs and arrested 30 individuals. According to the Times of Israel, officers seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition during the raids. These measures come amid a sharp rise in organized crime within Arab communities in Israel. Mahmoud Biatra, 30, was identified as one of the recent victims, bringing the total number of Arab Israeli homicide victims in 2026 to 172.
