Children, 5 and 6, hospitalized after eating candy containing hallucinogenic mushrooms

Two children, aged 5 and 6, were hospitalized at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya after reportedly consuming chocolate containing hallucinogenic mushrooms during a family vacation. According to the Times of Israel, the children were taken to the hospital exhibiting symptoms including dilated pupils and active hallucinations. Medical staff described the incident as serious and life-threatening. Dr. Sali Makhum, a physician at the hospital's pediatric emergency department, stated that the children were admitted to intensive care for continuous monitoring due to the volatile nature of the poisoning. According to Channel 12 news, one of the parents has taken responsibility for the incident. Police have not yet provided a comment on the matter.
