Times of Israel: US wanted Hamas to start disarming before Knesset election

The report emphasizes that securing Israel's buy-in and cooperation is essential for the meaningful advancement of the so-called 'Board of Peace' plan. Based on current analysis, it is not expected that such an agreement will be reached before the Israeli election date.
