Alton Towers Permanently Closes David Walliams Attraction
According to Deadline, the Alton Towers resort, owned by Merlin Entertainments, has decided to permanently close 'The World of David Walliams'. The attraction, which brought to life characters from the author's books such as 'Gangsta Granny', opened in 2021. A spokesperson for Merlin Entertainments told Deadline that the decision was made following a regular review of rides and attractions across the resort as the 2026 peak season came to an end.
