IDF soldier wounded in stabbing attack in Jordan Valley

An IDF soldier was wounded in a stabbing attack on Sunday morning near Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley. According to his brothers, the soldier, identified as Elchanan Hanania, was traveling with his pregnant wife for a vacation when he stopped his vehicle on Route 90 to buy cigarettes. The attacker approached from behind, stabbed him in the shoulder and back, and fled the scene. Hanania is currently in stable condition at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and is expected to undergo surgery. Following the attack, IDF and police forces launched a large-scale manhunt, establishing roadblocks around Al-Auja and the Jericho area. Security forces are currently questioning suspects and gathering forensic evidence as the investigation continues.
