Board of Peace official: We won’t have leverage over Netanyahu until after election

An official with the Board of Peace told The Times of Israel that the body will lack the leverage to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until after the October 27 election. According to the official, Netanyahu is expected to campaign on his defiance of pressure from the US-controlled Gaza oversight panel. However, the official noted that regardless of the election outcome, the board's leverage will be restored following the October 27 vote.
