Melania Trump: Oleshky ceasefire is a spark for more enduring peace between Ukraine, Russia

According to Fox News, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump stated during a trilateral news conference at the White House that the ceasefire in the Russian-occupied Oleshky region of southern Ukraine is a 'spark in a world of darkness' that could lead to enduring peace beyond a temporary regional truce. She noted that she became aware of the region's humanitarian crisis in September and acted as an exclusive intermediary with the agreement of both parties. At the event, which featured Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev and Ukrainian political party leader David Arakhamia, both officials praised U.S. mediation and peace efforts, calling the agreement the largest de-escalation since the war began in 2022.
