Iran struggles to restrict Hormuz traffic after US strikes hit maritime capabilities

According to a report by the Jerusalem Post, US officials stated that 40 vessels carrying millions of barrels of oil crossed the Strait of Hormuz on September 1. Additionally, 17 million barrels of oil transited the waterway on August 31, marking the highest volume recorded since the start of the war. These figures highlight the challenges faced by the Islamic Republic in restricting maritime traffic in the region. According to US sources, this increase in traffic follows recent US strikes on Iran's maritime capabilities, which appear to have diminished the country's ability to control traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
