Shin Bet and Israel Police teams to meet regarding election bribery investigation

According to Channel 14 Israel, investigation teams from the Shin Bet (ISA) and the National Fraud Investigation Unit (YAHA) are scheduled to meet today, Thursday, as part of a joint probe into suspected election bribery. The meeting takes place against a backdrop of recent tensions between the two bodies regarding the management of the investigation and the transfer of materials. Police sources claimed that the Shin Bet was delaying the transfer of intelligence and evidence, despite the Attorney General's decision to form a joint team. The Shin Bet rejected these claims, stating that the transfer of materials has already begun. Shin Bet sources clarified that they intend to lead the investigation, with the police serving only as a supporting entity.
