Poll: Winter’s new party weakens Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir’s standing

According to a poll conducted by the Kantar Institute for Kan News, if elections were held today, the 'Yashar' party would secure 24 seats, Likud 21, and the joint party of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid 14. The new 'Amcha Yisrael' party, led by Ofir Winter, would enter the Knesset with four seats, a development that analysts suggest would weaken both Likud and Otzma Yehudit. The data shows the anti-Netanyahu bloc dropping from 57 to 55 seats, while the Netanyahu-led bloc gained one seat to reach 52. Arab parties rose to 13 seats, largely due to gains by the Joint List. Regarding suitability for prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu holds a narrow lead over Naftali Bennett at 37% to 36%. However, Gadi Eisenkot leads Netanyahu in head-to-head polling, 40% to 37%. The survey also suggests that a joint run by Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir would result in a combined 10 seats, down from 12 if they ran separately. Conversely, if Smotrich were to join Moshe Feiglin, the Religious Zionism party would rise to seven seats, pushing Winter's party below the electoral threshold.
