‘Jimmy’ Review: Cornball James Stewart Biopic Gets the Manner, but Not the Man
According to a review published by Variety on November 6, 2026, the biopic 'Jimmy' has received negative criticism. Film critic Guy Lodge argues that the film focuses more on James Stewart's military service and conservative values rather than his artistic career. The report notes that lead actor KJ Apa provides an enthusiastic but thin portrayal, capturing only the star's signature drawl and persona, ultimately failing to offer a meaningful exploration of Stewart as a human or an icon.
