Iran warns US allies: Do not join Trump’s economic war

Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, warned countries in remarks broadcast on state television against joining the United States' economic campaign against Iran. He stated that any nation participating in economic restrictions against Tehran would be considered an enemy. Rezaei also warned of a major escalation if US President Donald Trump takes military action, stating that such a confrontation would be like an earthquake. The Iranian official reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and will only reopen if Washington changes its behavior and fulfills its commitments. He added that Iran has reached an understanding with Oman regarding a middle route through the strategic waterway. These remarks follow President Trump's announcement of a sweeping economic campaign, which he described as an economic D-Day. On Friday, Trump emphasized that his focus on economic pressure does not rule out military action, asserting that the US maintains total control over the region and the Strait of Hormuz.
