As 60-day MOU expires, the US and Iran are even further apart than before

Conversely, Tehran has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war status and is reportedly negotiating with Oman to manage the waterway. Meanwhile, Pakistan, which acted as a mediator for the June agreement, stated that it continues to make efforts to bring both parties back to the negotiating table. With tensions persisting and Houthi attacks on oil tankers in the Red Sea continuing, concerns are mounting regarding the impact of this crisis on the global economy and fuel prices.
