Four men plead guilty to arson attack on Jewish ambulances in London

Four men pleaded guilty on Friday at London's Old Bailey to criminal damage charges regarding the arson attack that destroyed four ambulances belonging to the Jewish charity Hatzolah earlier this year. The defendants include three British nationals aged 20, 19, and 18, and an 18-year-old British-Pakistani. The ambulances were set ablaze on March 23 in Golders Green, an area with a large Jewish population, causing an estimated £1 million in damage. Prosecutors have described the incident as a premeditated and targeted attack against the Jewish community. Three of the defendants allegedly started the fires, while the fourth waited in a getaway vehicle. Defense lawyers have rejected claims that the defendants had links to organizations banned in Britain. The men remain in custody and are expected to be sentenced in spring 2027. A fifth defendant, aged 18, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assisting an offender, with his trial scheduled for January.
