Jerusalem Post reports on four-month covert US Navy SEAL mission in Strait of Hormuz

According to a report by the Jerusalem Post, US Navy SEALs have conducted a four-month covert mission to clear sea mines from the Strait of Hormuz. The objective of the operation was to improve safety for commercial vessels navigating the waterway. The strait had been largely avoided by commercial traffic since the joint US and Israel attacks on Iran in February. Reports indicate that the reopening of the strait remains complicated by the presence of mines and uncertainties surrounding the ceasefire. Currently, oil tankers and cargo vessels remain anchored off Port Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, Oman.
