IDF confirms elimination of Hamas and Islamic Jihad commanders in Gaza

The IDF spokesperson confirmed that Ibrahim Nabil Ibrahim Bass, a commander in Hamas's military wing, was killed in a strike on the Al-Shati area on Thursday. According to the military, he had infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the October 7 massacre. In a separate strike in the Sabra area, Hamdi Ahmad Hamid Kahlil, an observation platoon commander in the Islamic Jihad, was eliminated. The IDF stated that these individuals had continued to launch attacks against Israeli troops and civilians throughout the war while attempting to restore the operational capabilities of their respective organizations. The military added that steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance prior to the strikes.
