IDF eliminates Hamas Nukhba commander and sniper in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Friday that it had targeted and eliminated two senior Hamas members during operations in the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF statement, Hani Abd al-Hai Fakhri Mazloum, a Nukhba company commander, and Hassan Zidan Hassan Deiri, a sniper in the group's military wing, were killed in the strikes. The IDF accused both individuals of involvement in the trafficking and supply of weapons to Hamas. According to the military, these individuals were actively planning attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and were working to rehabilitate the terrorist organization's capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF stated that prior to the strikes, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance. IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area and have stated they will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
