The charges stem from a May 23 incident that police described as a physical confrontation between Jacobs and his girlfriend. Brown County District Attorney David Lasee announced the charges on Thursday, noting that the office conducted a thorough review of evidence, including forensic findings. Jacobs, who was arrested in May and subsequently released, is presumed innocent under the law. His legal team issued a statement clarifying that the charges do not include domestic violence and stated they would address the allegations in court. According to the criminal complaint, surveillance footage from the garage corroborated the woman's account that Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground, causing a head injury. Each misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of nine months in jail and a $10,000 fine. The NFL stated it is monitoring the case, while the Packers organization confirmed it is aware of the charges and is cooperating with the league.
